Located near Penafiel, the Quinta do Bacêlo offers rustic accommodation close to Termas de São Vicente, which is famous for its natural thermal spa. There is a golf course nearby and many lovely walks are to be had around the Tâmega and Douro Rivers, which is also a great spot for fishing and other water sports, such as canoeing. Surrounded by vineyards and orchards, the Quinta do Bacêlo is a traditional Portuguese farmhouse dating back to the 19th Century and is an excellent place to discover the stunning beauty of northern Portugal's countryside, steeped in mediaeval and Roman history. The main highlights of the Quinta do Bacêlo Farmhouse are the view and its swimming pool, perfect for a dip during the summer months. The Quinta do Bacêlo Farmhouse is also a beautiful setting for a business retreat or a special celebration like a wedding. There is a 90 sq. m. (969 sq. ft) function room and the farmhouse even has its own chapel dedicated to St Anthony. A 200 m. sq. (2.153 sq. ft) pavilion can also be erected in the garden and a full catering service is available too. If you need to use to Internet, then you can borrow the owner's PC at no extra cost.
